Red Sea Global and Ministry of Interior Sign Memorandum of Understanding
- The agreement enhances coordination and aligns security strategies across Red Sea Global’s destinations
Riyadh, 10 Apr 2026 – Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer behind regenerative tourism destinations The Red Sea and AMAALA, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Interior at the Ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh.
The MoU was signed by Eng. Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Kathiri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Security Capabilities, and John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global.
The agreement aims to strengthen coordination between both parties and enhance safety and security requirements across Red Sea Global’s destinations.
Under the MoU, both entities will collaborate to align security frameworks, assess requirements, and support the implementation of integrated security systems in line with national standards.
Eng. Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Kathiri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Security Capabilities said: “This Memorandum of Understanding reinforces our commitment to supporting strategic national projects by providing advanced security systems and integrated operational frameworks. Through this collaboration, we aim to ensure a safe and secure environment that aligns with the Kingdom’s vision for world-class tourism destinations.”
The Red Sea destination now counts nine luxury hotels that are open and welcoming guests, as well as Thuwal Private Retreat off the coast of Jeddah. RSG recently announced the highly anticipated launch of AMAALA Triple Bay, which will see the debut of six world-class luxury resorts initially, as well as a yacht club, marine life institute, state-of-the-art marina and bustling Marina Village over the coming months.
